Hello boys and girls, today we will be removing the rear view mirror of a 2004 Saturn Ion. Easy-peasy removal, one screw and a plug. You can get this done in like 5 minutes or 20 if you're enjoying a beer.
Tools Required:
- A t20 screwdriver
- Fingers (Or a really advanced bionic arm)
Removal
This mirror has the option code of DF5. It has a compass built in! Your mirror may have a different code (Located in the trunk), but the removal should be similar.
Step 1
Look underneath the mirror and locate the screw hole. It's a T20. Remove the screw! To remove it, you need to turn it counter clockwise.
Step 2:
Pull mirror off the mount glued to the glass. It slides up and off.
Disconnect the plug to the mirror. You're done! Installation is the reversal of removal. Happy Wrenching!
