How to replace rear tail light bulb - Jetta
Introduction
Hello everyone, today I’m going to show you how to easily replace a rear tail light bulb. By following my How-To you will have it done in simply 5 minutes.
Time required: 5 min
Tools needed:
- 10mm socket
- Flatblade screwdriver (optional)
Parts needed:
- Philips P21W Light bulb
Step 1:
In the trunk of the car locate the tail light window (corner of trunk left or right)
Step 2:
Unbolt these two 10mm nuts to unmount the taillight assembly
Step 3:
From the outside of vehicle pull the tail light assembly to remove it
Step 4:
Un attach the two clips and free the tail light (it’s easier to pull the blue clip up and use a flathead screwdriver to pry it and separate [red arrow]
Step 5:
Remove the black light bulb container and install new bulbs
Bam! Now install tail light assembly and don’t forget those two 10mm nuts (tighten until snug)
