Tips on replacing brakes

Replacing disc brakes: pads, rotors & calipers
Estimated Time: About 3 hours for two wheels plus shopping time (2.5 hours for work on the truck , 10-15 min to get tools/set-up, 10 min to remove/replace the tires, about 10-15 min to clean up). Shopping time varies.
Tools Required :
- set of jack stands
- hydraulic lift or floor jack
- wheel chocks or big block of wood
- impact drill
- socket wrenches with different sizes of ratchets
- screw driver
- wrench
- breaker bar to take wheel lug nuts off
- lug nut key or correct socket for your lug nuts
- old bucket or Tupperware container to catch the brake fluid
- rag
- (optional) thin Nitrile gloves
- cardboard or mat to put underneath
- brake cleaner
- grease
Parts Required ( if applicable )
Tip #1: Pick good weather and a good location just in case you find something else that needs repairs or can’t finish in time
Tip#2: Don’t over tighten the bolts or else the caliper will crack or break!
